Meanwhile, South Korea\u2019s Kospi declined by 0.17%, while the Kosdaq saw a modest increase of 0.2%. South Korea\u2019s consumer inflation rate in October rose 1.3% year-on-year, slightly below Reuters&#8217; forecast of 1.4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In China, the CSI 300 gained 1.53%, while Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng Index was up 1.5%. Australia\u2019s S&amp;P\/ASX 200 declined 0.56% as the Reserve Bank of Australia kept its cash rate steady at 4.35%, marking the eighth consecutive meeting with no change, in line with expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the United States, markets had a down day on Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 257.59 points, or 0.61%, to 41,794.60.
