The benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yield reached its highest levels since 2007, and U.S. crude futures surged by more than 3% to settle at $93.68 per barrel. Hong Kong&#8217;s Hang Seng index experienced a 1.3% slide after the suspension of shares of the troubled Chinese real estate firm Evergrande.
